Winner of the 2008 ‘Concordia Foundation Award’, the Duo Teresa Carreño is one of the most exciting Venezuelan chamber music groups in the UK. Their performances are always energetic and exceptional experiences for the audience and their mixing of standard classical repertoire with Latin American music offers the audience a unique opportunity to discover new music. They have performed in important venues across Europe and Venezuela and its members are experienced musicians, both prize winners in international Competitions in USA, Latin America and Europe.
In Venezuela and the UK, they have performed in prestigious Festivals and concert venues such as James's Piccadilly, St Martin-in-the Fields, Bolivar Hall, Cheltenham Town Hall, Bloomsbury Arts and Music Festival, Festival y Academia Nuevo Mundo and Humboldt Association (Venezuela). They have recently made their Germany debut concert in the St. Matthaus Kirche (Kulturforum, Berlin), with an acclaimed response from the audience and critics.
