The Singapore Community Saxophone Ensemble (SCSE) is a non-profit organisation aimed at promoting the craft and artistry of saxophone performance. Registered under People's Association Singapore, it comprises the entire family of saxophones ranging from the Soprano Saxophone to the Bass Saxophone. The Singapore Community Saxophone Ensemble is one of the main saxophone societies that promotes saxophone performance in Singapore. The current music director is Jefferson Yap.
With the philosophy that music education is intergenerational, the Singapore Community Saxophone Ensemble provides a platform for saxophone players to serve the community and to make music together. The ensemble has performed extensively at many events in Singapore, such as the annual Chinese New Year Chingay, the Sengkang West Community Music Time and the Potong Pasir Community Music Time. It regularly performs at various functions with Singaporean MPs and Ministers in attendance. |
